Bulk buying goes smoothly when both sides agree the details in writing before the first order. Use this checklist when sourcing moringa leaf powder from any supplier.
1. Specification
Ask for a written specification sheet covering:
- Botanical name and plant part (moringa leaf).
- Form and texture (for example, the mesh size of the powder).
- Colour and aroma, as described by the supplier.
- Moisture limit.
- Drying and processing method, as described by the supplier.
- Packing format — for example, bag size and inner liner.
2. Samples
Request a sample before a large order and keep part of it as a reference. Compare later deliveries against the sample and the specification.
3. Documents
- The supplier's FSSAI licence or registration.
- Laboratory test reports for the batch you are buying, with the date of testing and the laboratory's name.
- Batch or lot details for each consignment.
- Any certificates the supplier claims — check that they cover the specific product and operation, and are current.
4. Commercial terms
- Minimum order quantity — as a number, not "on request".
- Price basis — per kg, and whether it is at the supplier's premises or delivered to you.
- Taxes — how GST is applied on the invoice.
- Payment terms — advance, part-payment or credit.
- Lead time — from order confirmation to dispatch.
5. Logistics
Agree who arranges transport, how packs are protected in transit, and what happens if a consignment is damaged.
6. Quality acceptance
Agree how you will check deliveries on arrival, how long you have to report a problem, and how replacements or credits are handled.
