This Privacy Policy explains how HM Agrione India LLP ("HM Agrione", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use this website. We aim to process personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to submit, and what is technically necessary to run the website securely:

• Enquiry forms (farmer, wholesale quote, partnership and contact forms): your name, mobile number, optional email address, location details such as state, district, village or city, business details where relevant, land area for farmer enquiries, and the content of your message.
• Order requests: your name, mobile number, optional email address, delivery address and the products and quantities requested.
• Consent choices: whether you agreed to be contacted about your request, and whether you opted in to occasional updates.
• Technical data: limited server logs such as IP address and request time, used for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.
• Your cart: cart contents are stored in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers, until you submit an order request.
• Supplier and buyer accounts (if you create one): account type, name, mobile number, email address, address, city, state and country, and — only if you choose to give them — business or farm name, date of birth and gender. Your password is stored only as a one-way scrambled form (a hash) that nobody, including us, can read back. We also record when the account was created and last used, and the quotation requests you send while logged in.
• Quotation requests and the welcome form: your name, email address, mobile number, country, what you need and your message; the welcome form also asks what you are interested in.
• Nursery (Agri Plant Center), landscaping and horticulture enquiries: your name, mobile number, optional email address, city or village and state, what you are looking for, the number of plants or the size of the area, and your message.
• Farm Assistant (chat) and Plant Disease Detection: what you type in the chat, and a plant photo with what you write about it. When the AI is switched on, these are sent to our AI provider, xAI, only to produce an answer; we do not keep the chat, which is gone once you leave the website, or a photo checked by the AI. If you send a plant photo to our team, we keep the photo with your name, mobile number and enquiry so that we can call you back; only our team can open it.
• Soil Health Analysis and the Farming Profit Calculator: the values you enter are worked out in your own browser and are not sent to us.

We do not ask for payment card or bank details on this website.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry or quote request and to contact you about it.
• To review, confirm and fulfil order requests, including arranging delivery.
• To send occasional updates about products, seasons or farmer programmes — only if you have opted in.
• To keep the website secure and prevent misuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We process personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a form, and for legitimate uses permitted by law. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where needed:

• With service providers who host and operate this website and its database, or who send notifications to our team, acting on our instructions.
• With logistics or courier partners, limited to what is needed to deliver an order.
• With authorities where required by law.

Service providers who process data for us: our website hosting and database provider; Razorpay, for payments, when online payment is offered at checkout; our email provider, when email notifications are switched on; and xAI, for the AI answers in the Farm Assistant and Plant Disease Detection, when the AI is switched on. How long we keep it

Your rights

• Ask us to correct, complete or update your data.
• Ask us to erase your data, where we are not required to keep it — including closing your account.

• Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, approach the Data Protection Board of India.
• Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
